One of the most common questions we hear is how to find the model number of your inflatable PFD. Without it, choosing the right Re-Arm Kit can be confusing. The good news is—it’s easier to find than you think.
What You’re Looking For
Every Mustang Survival inflatable PFD has a model number printed directly on the device or on a tag attached to it, some of them will also include the Re-Arm Kit number.
Here are examples of what the label looks like:
Older model MIT or HIT (V1)

Newer model MIT (V3)

Where to Look:
These labels can often be found in these places:
- At the back of the device on a tag
- At the back of the PFD on the logo side
- On the inside of your vest
- For a belt-pack PFD: inside the bladder pouch
