Buy it, wear it, love it.
"We all take too many chances on the water. Some people will reliably wear a foam pfd, most won’t. They’re just too cumbersome and cover up too much of what you need access to. I tried out the MIT 100 convertible on a 2 week water access only moose hunt and it’s so light I wore it every time I was on the water. Wearing an orange t-shirt or grouse vest under this pfd and you are 100% still legal for required amount of hunter orange. I would just hang it on the helm at the end of the day, that way there was no chance at forgetting it. I left the Bimini up overnights and didn’t once worry about it going off because of rain. I suppose it could happen but the design really sheds any water away from the inflator."
